The sheer amount and scope of information available is amazing.<\/p>\n<p>A few of the thousands of facts you can learn there:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Star Trek&rsquo;s <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Enterprise-D\">Enterprise-D<\/a> has a button on the engineering console marked &quot;Infinite Improbability Drive&quot;? (a reference to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Douglas_Adams\">Douglas Adams<\/a>&#8216; <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide\">The Hitchhiker&#8217;s Guide<\/a> to the Galaxy)<\/li>\n<li>The US Navy&rsquo;s Aegis-class destroyers were influenced heavily by some design elements of the Enterprise bridge.<\/li>\n<li>The Enterprise appears in the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Battlestar_Galactica\">Battlestar Galactica<\/a> TV series, in the background of a shot featuring the rag tag fleet in the upper right of the scene.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"floatright\" style=\"font-size: 10px; margin: 10pt 0pt 10px 10px; color: #666666; background-color: #eeeeee\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"226\" alt=\"Space Fleet's dry dock\" width=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/www.avatarplanet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/2009_03_16a_024_300px.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nSpace Fleet&#8217;s dry dock<\/div>\n<p>The Museum consists of several buildings containing the various parts of the Enterprise, along with a movie theater, art gallery, games, downloadable paper models, and hydroponics lab. There are also Orion, Ferengi, Borg, Andorian,Romulan, Klingon, Cardassian, Bajoran, Maquis, Chameloid, and Betazoid &ldquo;embassies&rdquo;, When you enter the Sick Bay, the Doctor&rsquo;s disembodied voice inquires, &ldquo;Please state the nature of your medical emergency.&rdquo; The Astrometrics Lab and 3D Starmaps are particularly impressive. Be sure to check them out.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly every object in the Museum can be clicked on to get a notecard or webpage for more information. Topics range from extreme trivia of Star Trek history to technical explanations of real world science.<\/p>\n<div class=\"floatleft\" style=\"font-size: 10px; margin: 10pt 10pt 10px 10px; color: #666666; background-color: #eeeeee\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"225\" alt=\"Standing inside our solar system in the Astrometrics Lab\" width=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/www.avatarplanet.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/2009.03.10_023_300px.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nStanding inside our solar system in the Astrometrics Lab<\/div>\n<p>High in the sky over the museum, you&rsquo;ll find a drydock and a Star Fleet station.
